How long have you been a photographer?
I’ve been shooting for maybe 15 years.
What made you pick up a camera?
I walked by a camera store sometime in the late 90’s and saw a cool looking SLR so I bought it just for the hell of it.

Whats your favourite style of photography?
Cityscapes, landscapes, and lifestyle
What’s the best thing about being a photographer?
As an artist, photography to me is just another form of art. If I’m not creating something by painting or drawing, I can do it with a camera.

Do you do anything else besides photography?
I paint, draw, bike, snowboard, paintball, ride my motorcycle, hike, camp, and other hobbies
What was your first camera and did you use it for professional shoots?
It was a Pentax SLR. Nope, just for fun.
People sometimes think that if you get the top expensive gear you will produce the best images. What’s your take on that?
Depends. If I’m shooting a scene in broad daylight then an iPhone would work just fine. If I want to shoot the stars at night, I would need a camera and lens that can do that.

We see you do a lot of cityscape photography. What message or feel are you trying to express with your work?
I don’t really think much about it. I’m inspired by anything that is visually appealing and parts of the city just look nice. If i lived near the mountains I’d be up there more.
Any advice for novice photographers out there?
Cliche, but just keep shooting and be inspired by others.
